東京都内のあるビルの1階に計画された不動産店舗である。3枚の薄いボリュームを立てることで、4つの室が並列し、それぞれの室は、問い合わせ＞申し込み＞契約という不動産取引の流れに沿い、閲覧室、接客室、契約準備室、契約室として使用される。それぞれのボリュームに開口を連続的に設け、人々の視線と動線を商店街から契約室まで貫通させている。
The idea for designing a real estate agency in the ground level of a building located in Tokyo is to embody the work flow of real estate transactions such as general inquiry, application, and deal-signing into a built form of interior design. By constructing three conceptual volumes, juxtaposition of four spaces emerges in-between respectively for the use of referencing, meeting, contract prep, and deal-signing. The design allows the visual connection and circulation from the shopping promenade to the deal-signing room by penetrating the three volumes of shelving grids with openings in sequence. The flow of real estate deal-making epitomizes the design itself; a real estate agency is the place for the genesis of all urban engagement between human and places.
