A 3-unit, reinforced-concrete, family residential building in Tokyo with three levels above ground levels and one underground. Each floor has exposure to an enclosed outdoor space, which allows visual connection with the outside while maintaining privacy. A cross-maisonette allows each unit to have natural lightning and ventilation,
and creates an internal spatial composition which reflects the dynamics of Tokyo urban space on a smaller scale. The openings of the facade are staggered, giving the units a rhythmic composition while integrating the exterior appearance.
