この家は二世帯を大きく包む家である。クライアントは、仲の良い二世帯親子である。それぞれの家庭の生活を営みながら、時には全員での食事、団欒を願っていた。そこで、プランニングは、大きな一つの家として使え、けれでも二世帯のそれぞれの生活を営めることも可能なものになった。それは、この家の大きな屋根が、いくつかのばらばらな空間を包み、一つの家に見立てている印象そのものである。
This house enfolds a family of two generation. The client is a harmonious family of parents and their son’s family. One of their requests is to live independently but hold family dinner and get-together occasionally. So the planning of the house is carefully choreographed for their mutual independence, at the same time, creating opportunities for sharing. The design of a house is to wrap separated spaces to appear as an image of one house.
