段消防署の典型的なイメージは煉瓦（レンガ）造の建物であることから、レンガのように同じかたちのブロックを積み上げて１つの建物にすることを基本コンセプトとした。そこでアジア的な未来をイメージするに当り、アジアの城や仏閣、自然のモーチーフを再考し、オーガニックで遊び心のある

一つの構成単位に行きついた。これを子供の等身大のスケール感で積み上げ、ダイナミックなファサードかつ建築的な空間を造った。

 

The typical depiction of a fire station is a building constructed of BRICK - a repeated, versatile unit. This structural concept was the stimulus for the basic notion of a pavilion built of a single unit that is duplicated and stacked. This idea was further shaped by the theme of FUTURE. To create a structure more relevant to the ASIAN future, we examined traditional architecture and design, taking cues from Asian castles, temples, and nature motifs. Integrating all these concepts, we developed an organic and playful unit at a child’s scale that can be stacked to create both a dynamic façade and an exciting architectural space. 

消防局的典型印象是砖头结构的建筑物、这个建筑的基本设计理念就像这样用砖头一块一块堆起来的。那给人一种亚洲性的未来景象、对亚洲的城堡和佛教寺等、自然的主题进行重新思考。我们想到了使有规则的游玩心也能成为一个构成单位。把这些和儿童等身大的规模感堆建起来、来创造出生动的立面和建筑空间。
